February 17, 2021 Gila County Public Health will be conducting a COVID 19 vaccination drive-thru clinic on February 20th-21st by appointment only at the Payson High School football field parking lot. Due to the great work our partnership are doing in Northern Gila County in getting vaccines out to the priority Groups 1A, 1B, and 65 years and older, this weekend clinic has additional appointments available and will be open to all Gila County residents. Clinic will be open both days from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. To reduce traffic congestion in the parking lot, please arrive with five (5) minutes of your scheduled appointment time. This clinic will be by appointment only and we have opened additional phone lines for your convenience. HWUSD will remain Online and Winter Sport Season Cancelled . The Hayden-Winkelman Unified School District has decided to continue online learning until the end of the first semester, which is January 28, 2021. The District believes online learning will be the safest for students, families, and the community as COVID-19 case continue to rise in Arizona. The Governing Board will revisit returning to in-person schooling in January.

Hayden High Alumni we have been cleaning out classrooms for new flooring and we found some old yearbooks. We will be selling them for $10 each. Mrs. Nanny Moreno has them in her classroom. We have 17 -2000, 12-2014, and 38-2015. The school used to have to buy a set amount in order to purchase yearbooks for the school.

Hayden-Winkelman Unified School District Technology Distribution and Technical Support All Hayden-Winkelman Unified School District students must come to the District to complete registration and pick-up iPads needed for online learning. During the week of August 31st – September 3rd, iPads will be distributed along with school backpack between 11:00 – 7 pm. in the Hayden High School lobby area. Registration dates have been assigned to students by alphabetical order to ensure there is minimal waiting time for technology support each day. The support staff will ensure every student is able to access needed online learning sites. During registration, parents and students will log into their iPads. Hotspots will be available as needed for families without internet access. Onsite Learning Service As per Governor’s Ducey 2020-51 Executive Order, the District has established on-site learning location as a safe place for students to come during the day as needed. This onsite learning service began August 17, 2020. Students may be dropped off from 8:00 a.m. and may be picked up at 3:15 p.m. There will be no district transportation provided to on-site learning opportunities, except for special needs IEP requirements. The District’s onsite learning services will be available until the return of in-person instruction and when it is safe. Parents will be required to sign a liability waiver form prior to the beginning of on-site learning services. In addition, each student will receive a daily health screening and complete a health questionnaire on arrival to the on-site services learning center.

We will continue again this week with Monday & Wednesday deliveries to the existing sites we have been using throughout the summer from 10-11 am. HWUSD will begin virtual remote instruction on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. If you haven’t returned your registration packets please do so ASAP. You can return them in the prepaid return envelope or drop them off at the school offices Monday-Thursday 8-4.
